Live Portraits for
your Wedding
I create refined live portraits during your wedding so guests leave with a thoughtful keepsake, and your day gains a quiet point of theatre.
A Thoughtful Experience
Each drawing is a small, tangible reminder that they were there and that they mattered.
Live portraits are a way to give your guests a considered experience that fits quietly into everything else you’ve planned. Tactile, personal and memorable.
The portraits are made on 350gsm A5 card - The perfect size to look at properly, to frame, and to carry home.
Hand-drawn in charcoal and ink they are created in the moment, from real life, in front of the person - and any keen onlookers. Each drawing is crafted in five minutes and gifted to the guest that day in a handwritten envelope.
Meet your Illustrator
Hi, I’m Caleb – I’ll be the artist sketching your guests on the day.
I am an illustrator based near Canterbury in Kent. Over the last fifteen‑plus years I’ve worked with publishers, animation studios, design studios, and theatre companies, as well as drawing live at weddings and events. I have an MA in Illustration and a BA in Fine Art. Much of my work sits where portraits, storytelling and performance overlap.
Live wedding portraits are how I bring that experience into your day, with real people, in real time, and a level of craft that comes from years of drawing for books, stages and brands.
“People linger longer than polite society should tolerate, just to have their portraits captured by Caleb.
He's a wonderful artist.
A must-have at any event and a spectacular hit.”

What live portraits bring to a wedding
A Calm Point of Theatre
My aim at a wedding is to enhance the ambience, rather than to perform. Guests watch the portraits appear on the page. It is a gentle kind of entertainment that fits naturally into the flow of the day. Quiet but memorable.
A Feeling of Being Seen
Sitting for a portrait is a brief moment of focussed attention. I always aim for a flattering and kind likeness - people should feel good when they see themselves. The lines I draw are considered and my manner is warm.
Something Genuine and Personal to Take Home
Guests leave with an original, high quality portrait made just for them. They leave the day holding a piece of art that they have witnessed take shape.

Even if some details are still being confirmed, that’s ok!
I read every enquiry personally and reply myself, usually within a working day.
Based in Canterbury. Available across London, Kent, and the South East.
Also for events and hospitality.
The same work translates naturally to members' clubs, design-led launches, vineyard evenings, and curated hospitality. Same charcoal and ink. Same quiet presence. The room just looks a little different.
